What is DTG printing?
Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a process of printing on textiles using specialized aqueous inkjet technology, where inks adhere directly to the textile fibers.
What is your minimum order?
One.
Is there a price break if I order a bunch?
No. It costs the same to “press print” whether you press it once or 100 times. So we specialize in small-quantity runs.
How durable are DTG-printed garments?
Most ink and printer manufacturers say the industry standard is 50 washes. However, many agree that DTG prints will last longer. (I still wear the first shirt Merch On Demand printed.)
Is DTG the same as screen printing?
No. Both processes have pros and cons. DTG is used when you need many different impressions, such as individual names, multiple titles or any varying info and/or graphics. Since DTG doesn’t require screens to be created, there is not a traditional setup change like with screen printing. DTG can print unlimited colors because everything is a CMYK build. This also means colors are more accurately reproduced from the original file. DTG shirts typically cost slightly more per piece than screen-printed shirts, depending on a number of factors. What can you print on?
Any fabric that has some natural fiber content. 100% cotton produces the brightest and best images, 50/50 blends are great. Nylon and similar full synthetics are bad. Other printable materials include felt, wood, velvet, cork, etc.
Can I set up an ongoing, as-needed, standing order?
Totally! We have terms with a few bands and businesses. We produce and drop-ship their apparel orders. A few are Cheap Perfume, Spot-On Scooters and Casa Lambretta. Contact us for terms and details.
Will you print my hate speech on a shirt?
No. This includes dog whistles.
